Introduction

Triphala is a well-known Ayurvedic chemical formula in which Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhatak (Baheda) (Terminalia bellirica) and Haritaki (Harad Terminalia chebula) are extracted from seeds (1 part green, 2 parts deaf, 3 parts amla) 1 : 2: 3 is taken in quantity. The word Triphala literally means "three fruits".

History
